Under Protection & Intelligence Strategies we organize shooting and tactical courses. We teach anybody who owns a gun with a view to protect their family or loved ones, and wants to learn how to use it effectively.
Shooting courses teach defensive shooting in crisis situations. You will improve/learn shooting technique and will prepare your mind for tactical application of the acquired knowledge. The techniques are put together and explained in logical sequence in order to naturally broaden your shooting skills spectrum.
You can participate in our regular shooting trainings in order to further improve your skills.
I have extensive experience as instructor, specifically I led trainings in shooting, VIP protection tactics or driving in critical situations. I gained my experience through trainings with specialized units of Czech armed forces (The Rapid Response Unit of the Police, Military Police, Customs, etc.) and in civil courses (Akademie Aegis, RDA, NTBS etc.). I also had the opportunity to undergo trainings with prestigious international partners. I continuously educate myself in the field, ensuring that the knowledge you get is up-to-date.

Defensive Pistol I.
The first of the defensive pistol courses aims at lying the foundations of shooting technique and safe weapon handling, essential for further progress. All the techniques are explained in details. In the same time, shooters learn the principles behind each of the techniques. The techniques explained in the course are composed in a logical sequence.
Theory part presents suitable equipment and accessories.

Defensive Pistol II.
In this course shooters develop techniques and knowledge acquired during the first course. More emphasis is put on tactical application of the knowledge in critical situations.
The second course also presents the techniques in logical sequence in order to make them comprehensible and easier to learn.
The theory part is about situation awareness and all the related aspects. You will learn some tips and tricks that you can use to develop and train your awareness.
Course content:
- kneeling and its possible application
- lateral movement
- shooting on the move and after physical activity
- strong hand shooting and handling
- other ready positions
- and other techniques

Defensive Pistol III.
Through Defensive pistol III. Course, shooters complete the picture and learn further, more demanding techniques of defensive shooting. In the same time you consolidate the knowledge acquired during the two previous courses and test it in simulated situations.

- prone position and its possible application
- supine position and „time-buying strategies“
- weak hand manipulation and shooting
- non-standard shooting positions
- multiple targets shooting
- movement and cover
- simulated situations

Defensive pistol – Low light conditions
This course focuses on shooting in low-light conditions and complete darkness.
During the course, you will learn various techniques for using a flashlight and pistol. You will also practice acquired skills in different scenarios simulating possible real-life critical situations.
Bad things often happen in the dark: get ready for that!

Defensive pistol – Force on Force
This course is the pinnacle of the Protection & Intelligence Strategies shooting courses.
The primary goal is to practice acquired shooting techniques and tactical procedures in a realistic environment using the FX Simunitions system and real-life scenarios.
Participants will test and experience their shooting skills and the effectiveness of tactical procedures in various model situations. In the same time, this course will push the participants‘ mental limits.
The course includes brief practice with real firearms, followed by model scenarios.
Force on Force course content:
- safety briefing and introduction to the FX Simunitions system
- situational awareness and threat avoidance
- review of shooting techniques
- model scenarios using FX Simunitions
- how to proceed „after self-defense shooting“
- legal framework for using firearms in self-defense
Course duration: 1 day (9:00 – 17:00)

The Sentinel
The Sentinel is a completely unique project in our conditions. This three day course will provide you with a complex overview of protection of yourself and your loved ones.
Practical parts are dedicated to shooting, tips for using a car, as well as effectively protect your loved ones. You will grasp the fundamentals of CQB in civil environment (one man CQB). Theory blocs present suitable equipment, explain situation awareness and how to make it a complex system working for you, suitable equipment setup in your car and, last but not least, you will acquire important first aid skills. During this course we will also touch the topic of home defense (how to secure your home, reactions in critical situations, follow-up actions, etc.) and procedures for “active shooter“ situation.
FX Simunitions weapons are now part of model situations as well. (FX Simunitions cartridges, the rental of FX Simunitions pistols and protective helmets included in the course price).

Skills or die Courses
SKILLS OR DIE Project is the fruit of cooperation between myself and my friend Ondra Spisar (ExSOF). Spicy has almost 20 years of experience as operator of the 601st Special Forces group. He participated in five missions in Afghanistan and one in Mali. Spicy also participated in a large number of foreign courses and trainings.
In the courses under the auspices of the SKILLS OR DIE Project, two very experienced instructors from two different worlds meet – the world of intelligence services and the world of special forces. We both project all our previous experience and knowledge into these courses.
Defensive Pistol/Rifle combination I.
This course focuses on basic shooting techniques for pistols and rifles, emphasizing techniques essential to their common use. The first day is primarily devoted to the pistol, the second to the rifle and their combination.
During the two-day course, participants have enough space to practice the presented techniques and experience them sufficiently. The pace is adapted so that all the participants of the course are able to follow.
The course also includes a brief theory part devoted to effective pistol and rifle accessories.
Defensive Pistol/Rifle Combination I. course content:

Defensive pistol/Rifle combination II.
This course focuses on advanced shooting techniques with a pistol and rifle, including their combined use.
The first day of this course is primarily dedicated to the pistol, the second to the rifle and combination of both weapons.
In this course, participants continue to expand their skills in shooting techniques while gaining awareness of suitable tactics when using these techniques.
The course also includes a short theory section focusing on the topic of Situational Awareness, including tips for its improvement and possibilities of sensory training.

Defensive pistol – One man CQB
The masterstroke of the Skills or Die project.
One man CQB focuses on mastering basic and advanced CQB techniques, i.e. close quarters combat, in a single individual.
The course is purely pistol-based and combines live fire shooting, dry practice of individual techniques, and shooting with non-lethal FX Simunition ammunition.
The first day takes place at the shooting range, where participants refine their shooting techniques and practice CQB tactics. The second day is entirely focused on various scenarios in a building (primarily in home defense), using only the non-lethal FX Simunition system.
Upon completion of this course, participants will gain an understanding of CQB principles and elevate their tactical and mental abilities to a completely new level.

Trainings and courses abroad
All the courses of Skills or Die series can be held also abroad. In 2023, we held such a training with Ondřej for BRIMOB special unit operators in Indonesia.

Regular shooting trainings
Participants of our courses can subsequently join our regular shooting practice sessions, which take place at the Club Sladovna Mýto shooting range (http://www.club-sladovna.cz/) and in Beroun shooting range (http://strelnicetrubin.cz/).

Individual courses
Shooting, as well as tactical courses, can also be taken in a „one-on-one“ setting.
The price for such a course is 15 000,- CZK per day (or half a day for 8 000,- CZK).
The duration of the course is 8 hours. The price includes the rental of the shooting range and targets.
For tactical courses conducted in a „one-on-one“ manner, the price will be set individually, based on the specific requirements of the desired scope.
